Xiaomi announced the Redmi 13C in November of last year, and we had to wait two months for it to arrive in Nepal.
And the wait was worth it – the phone brings a lot of improvements over the already-good Redmi 12C.
Xiaomi has overhauled the phone’s design and added several quality-of-life improvements, like a faster screen and industry-standard USB-C charging port.
And all this comes at a more affordable price. Yes, you heard it right — the Redmi 13C was even cheaper than its predecessor at launch.
Xiaomi Redmi 13C price in Nepal
The starting price of Redmi 13C in Nepal is Rs. 13,999 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. To compare, the 12C had launched at Rs. 14,999 for the 64GB variant.

Redmi 13C also has a third memory configuration with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, which costs Rs. 18,999 in Nepal.

Xiaomi Redmi 13C overview
Though the phone packs the same Helio G85 (12nm) as its predecessor, we expect the new 8GB variant to result in a snappier experience—at least in multitasking.
The 256GB storage will delay the slowing down of the phone. Not to mention the 1TB expandable storage.
On a different note, the Redmi 13C punches over its weight with its sleek profile. The phone measures just 8.09mm in thickness despite housing a massive 5,000mAh battery.
It has undergone a face uplift. It adopts a more modern look with a flat back and edges, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a new camera layout that draws inspiration from the more expensive Xiaomi 13.

The latter is more prominent on the Navy Blue and Midnight Black models. If you are not a fan of these professional-looking colorways, Xiaomi also offers the Redmi 13C in fancy Clover Green and Glacier White, which look fancier.
I have to admit—the waterdrop notch and the thick bezels on the front don’t really complement the phone’s overall design. That being said, both are acceptable for a budget phone like the Redmi 13C.
If you look past them, the phone has a 90Hz refresh rate, which is impressive for its price range. The display measures 6.74 inches diagonally and sports HD resolution with 260 ppi.
To top it off, the phone brings Gorilla Glass protection and DC dimming.

The camera options are decent, too—you get a 50MP primary shooter paired with a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, Xiaomi has included an 8MP sensor with a soft-light ring.
Finally, the phone switches to a Type-C port and adopts 18W wired fast charging. It ships with Android 13-based MIUI with no promises of future updates, though we do expect an Android 14 update down the road.
