vivo announced the new V30 5G smartphone in early February. It is now available for pre-order in Nepal.

The price is Rs. 60,999 for the 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. You can pre-order the phone until March 13, 2024, and even qualify for a free TWS 3e.

With the pricing out of the way, let’s look at what vivo V30 5G has to offer for the sixty-thousand price tag.

So, let’s take a detailed look at the phone, key features, full specifications, pricing, and availability.

The low-light portraits are still a major selling point of the vivo V30. It now features a squircle Aura Light to preserve facial details under low lighting conditions.

Whether you are taking a portrait from a close-up or a distance, the phone adds just the right illumination level. Furthermore, it can also control the color temperature of portraits based on the scenery.

And it works with video, too. The vivo V30 uses Aura Light along with OIS and EIS technology to brighter and less-shaky low-light videos.

The main portraits are taken from the 50MP OmniVision OV50E with a 1/1.55” sensor size. It is backed by vivo Camera-Bionic Spectrum (VCS) – an in-house technology to improve color accuracy and reproduction.

There’s another 50MP ultrawide camera with a 119° Field of View. You can use it to take group portraits — the Auto Focus on this camera is said to capture up to 30 faces in a frame.

The front-facing camera, again a 50MP image sensor with autofocus capability, can take group selfie portraits.

Keeping up with the recent tradition of the V-series, the new Peacock Green variant of vivo V30 has a color-changing back. You can also opt for the Noble Black color option if you don’t want the premiums of the Fluorite AG Glass without the flashy feature.

Over on the front, you get a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a crisp 1.5K resolution. The screen refreshes at 120 Hz and boasts a 300 Hz touch sampling rate. It’s well illuminated, too — with an impressive 1200 nits global peak brightness.

The uniform bezels add to the premium feel of the vivo V30. The edges of the panel are curved for a sleek look. The phone measures just 7.45mm in thickness, even slimmer than its predecessor, despite packing a bigger 5,000mAh battery.

It also retains the 80W FlashCharge, which limits the charging process to just 48 minutes.

Performance has not been the main selling point of the V-series or any other vivo phone in Nepal. That said, the vivo V30 fares well in this department with the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor based on a power-efficient 4nm node.

This is paired with 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. vivo has included a smart cooling system that removes the heat from the chip.

The vivo V30 ships with Funtouch 30 out of the box. Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP54 dust and water resistance, and Schott Glass screen protection.
