Samsung Galaxy M15 5G has arrived in Nepal after making its debut launch in India. Weirdly, the phone was listed quietly on Samsung Plaza’s official website without any teaser or announcement. Let’s take a quick look at the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G, its key features, specifications, price, and availability in Nepal.
Samsung Galaxy M15 5G overview
Design
Samsung Galaxy M15 5G probably has the most bland front design of any new phone in its price range. Rare in a 2024 phone, it features a waterdrop-style notch and thick bezels all around.
Getting into the technicalities of the display, the Galaxy M15 5G sports a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
The back of the is more presentable but nothing extraordinary. It is flat for the most part, except for the slight curve at the edges. It has a glossy finish with light-reflecting patterns and comes in Light Blue, Dark Blue, and Gray color options.
The sides are flat, and the edges rounded. Power button and volume rocker are placed on the right. The former even comes mounted with a physical fingerprint scanner.
Performance
Under the hood, Samsung Galaxy M15 5G is powered by the Dimensity 6100+. It is a 6nm chipset with two 2.2GHz Cortex-A76 performance cores and six 2.0GHz Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. The graphics are handled by Mali-G57 GPU.
The processor is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The latter is expandable up to 1TB using an external microSD card. However, you will have to give up on dual SIM connectivity since the card slot is shared.
Battery and charging
The Galaxy M15 draws power from a 6,000mAh battery, rated for 128 hours of audio playback. It supports 25W wired fast charging. However, Samsung does not provide a charger in the box which you will have to buy separately.
Camera
The back of the phone has three individual rings, each housing a camera unit arranged in a linear fashion.
The primary shooter, a 50MP sensor, sits in the middle. There is no Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), but it does bring the in-house Video Digital Image Stabilization (VDIS) technology.
Above it lies the 5MP ultrawide camera, and below it is a 2MP macro camera. Over on the front, the notch is home to 13MP selfie camera.
Software
Samsung Galaxy M15 5G runs Android 14 out of the box with One UI 6 skin on top. It is guaranteed to get 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security patches.
