Apple announced the iPhone 11 in 2019 — that was some 5 years ago. Since then, there have been four major updates in the iPhones leading up to the 14 lineup.

That said, the iPhone 11 still ranks among the most sought-after phones in Nepal, with thousands of Google searches each month for its latest price.

In this article, we will discuss its latest price in Nepal from three different channels — authorized retailers, refurbishers, and second-hand markets.

iPhone 11 Price in Nepal — Official & Second-Hand Prices

Authorized Resellers

If you really want to have the best experience, we recommend getting your Apple products from authorized resellers in Nepal.

Generation Next is the sole distributor, while Evo and Oliz are the popular Apple resellers.

From there, you can buy the 128GB variant of iPhone 11 for NPR 69,900. The 64GB variant and 256GB variant are currently out of stock.

Second-hand Marketplace

If you are budget-conscious, you can get it from a second-hand marketplace as well. There are several places you can look for, but Hamro Bazzar stands out the most. With a quick search, you can see the iPhone 11 listed anywhere between NPR 39,000 and NPR 110,000, depending upon the condition of the handset.

Refurbisher

A safer option to buy an iPhone 11 would be getting it from genuine refurbishers like Arko Phone,  Sabko Phone, and Naya Purano. Daraz also has a dedicated renewed section for such phones. The price is slightly higher than the secondary market, and it varies depending on the condition. You might also get an additional warranty, depending on the service provider. For instance, this iPhone 11 (128GB) with 86% battery health was recently sold for Rs. 42,990.

Is iPhone 11 still worth it in Nepal in 2024?

As discussed earlier, the iPhone 11 will be 5 years old in 2024. So, should you still buy it? Well, the answer differs from individual. You can buy the latest premium mid-range phones from Android manufacturers in Nepal. Thus, it really depends upon what you want from your phone.

3 Reasons to Buy iPhone 11 in Nepal in 2024

1. Software Update Support

One of the main reasons people prefer iPhones over Android is the software update support. While most Android smartphone brands, except Samsung, provide just two years of software updates, Apple has an excellent track record of offering 5+ years of support on its iPhones. Based on this, iPhone 11 will likely get updates up to 2025.

2. Apple Ecosystem

If you use other Apple products like MacBook, AirPods, iPads, and so on, its no brainer to choose iPhone 11 over similarly-priced Android phones in Nepal in 2024. The seamless connection between different Apple products really adds to the total experience.

3. Cameras

The iPhone 11 has dual 12MP camera sensors, which might look a bit outdated when you consider even budget phones these days now come with a 50MP camera. However, it’s the optimization that counts, and Apple has used this particular setup for a number of years, giving iPhone 11 a considerable edge, especially in the video department where it can record 4K videos up to 60fps. You can also take 4K / 60fps videos with the front camera, which also can take 12MP selfies.

3 Reasons Not to Buy iPhone 11 in Nepal in 2024

1. 60Hz LCD Screen

iPhone 11 uses a 60Hz LCD screen with HD resolution, which these days is only found in entry-level budget phones. Even budget phones now have a 90Hz FHD screen. Even phones half the price of iPhone 11 offer OLED display with at least 90Hz refresh rate.

2. No 5G Support

iPhone 11 doesn’t have a 5G modem, which all newer phones in its price range have. Although Nepal doesn’t have proper 5G infrastructure as of now, it can be a problem in the future.

3. Limited Customization

If you prefer a high level of customization or are interested in advanced features, you might find newer Android phones more suitable.

iPhone 11 Summary

Camera

One of the major highlights of the iPhone 11 when it was launched back in 2019 was its camera setup. It was the first iPhone to feature a dual-camera setup.

With this phone, Apple introduced a second 12MP ultrawide camera sensor to capture wider landscapes. Both the wide and ultrawide camera sensors can record 4K videos at 60fps.

Apple also upgraded the selfie sensor to 12MP and then updated the default camera app UI to adapt to the new hardware changes.

For instance, the Portrait mode on the iPhone 11 uses both wide and ultrawide cameras to take photos with background blur. It is applicable while taking pictures of people, pets, and even objects.

In addition, Apple has improved the low-light Night mode photography by introducing 100 percent Focus Pixels.

Performance

The iPhone 11 brought the Apple A13 Bionic chip with a 20% faster CPU and GPU performance than its predecessor. It is a hexacore processor built on top of a 7nm+ node.

There are 2 performance CPU cores backed by 4 efficiency cores. The new neural engine on this chip allowed Apple to use the Deep Fusion image processing system on the iPhone 11.

Software

Initially, it launched with iOS 13. However, you can update it to the latest iOS version, which is 17 at the time of writing this article. For its time, iOS 13 brought Dark Mode and an option to Sign In with Apple to log into apps and websites more securely.

Design and Display

The phone brings a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina IPS LCD display with a wide color gamut and True Tone technology. The phone has a glass back and an aluminum frame.

There are six colors to choose from — Purple, Green, Yellow, White, Black, and PRODUCT(RED). It is IP68-certified and can survive freshwater of up to 2 meters for up to 30 minutes.
