JBL Clip 5 overview
The main USP of the Clip lineup has always been the integrated carabiner that gives it the name. With the Clip 5, the opening is the biggest it has ever been, allowing you to attach it to lot more surface.
Another major addition to the Clip 5 is the Auracast. This means you can finally connect two Clip 5 speakers for a stereo audio output. The speaker can also connect to other Auracast-supported speakers.
Moving on, JBL Clip 5 packs a bigger and more powerful speaker driver. JBL has also expanded the frequency response, emphasizing deeper bass.
The speaker is tuned to deliver the punchy bass-boasting JBL Pro Sound. There are different EQ presets accessible from the JBL Portable app. Moreover, you can also tune the speaker to your sound preference, using the equalizer.
Inside, the Clip 5 packs a 5.32 Wh Li-ion polymer battery, which promises up to 12 hours of playback on a single full charge. You can extend the playback by 3 more hours by enabling the Playtime Boost.
70% of the plastic used on the Clip 5 is post-consumer recycled material. Likewise, the fabric on the speaker grille is 100% recycled.
