Over a month after its global debut, Infinix Smart 8 Pro has finally arrived in Nepal. It is the latest entry-level phone from the Chinese brand and boasts some impressive features for its price.
Infinix Smart 8 Pro – Everything you need to know
Infinix Smart Ring
Let’s start with the Smart Ring. At this price range, even a punch-hole display is very rare. However, Infinix has topped it off with its spin on Apple’s Dynamic Island.
This new feature on the Smart 8 Pro shows real-time information regarding battery, charging status, and ongoing calls.
Gimmicky Camera Module
That said, this is not the only thing the phone has taken from Apple. You can notice the iPhone Pro-like camera module.
It houses a dual-camera setup. Yes – the third circular bump is for the quad-led flash.
Even then, only one of the remaining two sensors makes sense – the 50MP primary shooter. The second “AI” lens doesn’t serve a meaningful purpose.
Design and Display
Over on the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera housed inside the aforementioned Smart Ring.
The screen refreshes at 90Hz and has a peak brightness of 500 nits, which is another highlight of the Smart 8 Pro. Besides that, the 6.6-inch HD is the norm in this segment.
There are four colorways to choose from – Timber Black, Shiny Gold, Galaxy White, and Rainbow Blue.
Performance and Storage
Despite the Pro moniker, this phone is no powerhouse. It brings the MediaTek Helio G36 under the hood.
This is paired with 4GB RAM, which should be enough to run the Android 13 Go-based XOS software.
As for storage, you can choose between 64GB and 128GB variations.
Battery and Charging
Finally, the Smart 8 Pro gets its juice from a 5,000mAh battery. A 10W adapter is part of the package.
Other notable features of the phone include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a single speaker with DTS sound processing.
Infinix Smart 8 Pro – Memory Configuration and Pricing
Don’t fall for the advertisements – the Smart 8 Pro is only available in a 4GB variant. The other 4GB RAM is just internal storage used as virtual memory.
The price for the 64GB variant of Infinix Smart 8 Pro in Nepal is Rs. 12,999. Likewise, the 128GB storage variant costs Rs. 13,499 in Nepal.
| RAM | Storage | Price in Nepal |
|---|---|---|
