Kick Lifestyle has launched a new pair of earbuds in Nepal. The new Kick Zenbuds is set follows Buds S Pro’s footsteps, disrupting the market with some segment-first features.
The highlight is definitely the touch display on the charging case. However, the buds also support ANC, multiple sound modes, swift pair, and fast charging.
So, let’s discuss the Kick Zenbuds in detail, including its features, technical details, availability and expected pricing.
Design: earbuds and charging case
Let’s address the elephant in the room — the standout feature of the Kick Zenbuds is its charging case, which features a 40mm touch LCD. With this, you no longer need to reach out to your smartphone every time you need to switch songs, adjust volume, or toggle different sound modes.
The use of the display expands beyond controlling music playback and earbuds. You can use it as a remote shutter button while taking photos, to set alarms, display clock and wallpaper, or even as a flashlight.

If any of these sound familiar, it’s because Kick has borrowed from JBL’s book. The design of Kick ZenBuds, earbuds, and a charging case included, looks heavily inspired by JBL Tour Pro 2.
That said, the internal specifications are different. After all, Tour Pro 2 is a $250 TWS, whereas Zebuds only costs a fraction of that.
The earbuds are IPX4 rated.
Internal components: audio drivers, microphone
Inside, each earbud packs an 11-dynamic driver and 3-mic setup. Kick says the latter is custom-tuned to appeal to the bass-loving Nepali audience. If you don’t like the default sound, you can always create your own utilizing the built-in equalizer.
The hexa-mic setup is backed by Environmental Noise Reduction (ENC) to reduce background noise to deliver clear voice during calls.
Other features: ANC, connectivity, low-latency
Active Noise Cancellation on Kick Zebuds is effective up to 42dB as per the official specification. Still, we suggest you wait till reviews to determine how good it is. There is a transparency mode for when you need to be aware of the ambiance.

Moving on, Kick Zenbuds come equipped with Bluetooth 5.4 chip, offering seamless connectivity with Android, iOS, and Windows platforms.
There is a 50ms low latency mode for when you want to stream movies or games online.
Battery and fast charging
With the 700mAh battery in the charging case, Kick Zenbuds boast up to 60 hours of combined playback. It is with the display of the case turned on. You can disable it to double the battery backup.
SparkCharge means you can add up to 5 hours of combined playback with 10 minutes of charging. Kick has not listed the endurance of each earbud.
