Samsung has quietly launched its latest pair of earbuds in Nepal. The new Galaxy Buds FE is listed on notable ecommerce platforms like Samsung Plaza and SmartDoko.
You can take home the TWS earbuds for Rs. 14,999. This makes these Galaxy earbuds the most affordable in Nepal to date.
These are the first “Fan Edition” earbuds in the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem. Like other FE devices, the Buds FE makes Samsung’s in-house audio technology more accessible.
I have to give it to Samsung — it has managed to include Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) even in their cheapest earbuds to date.
There’s also a dedicated Ambient mode for times you want to be aware of your surroundings.
The music playback is paused whenever you take the earbuds out of your ears. Just put them back in to resume where you left off.
Earbud earbud houses three microphones — 2 outer and 1 inner. Together with the DNN (Deep Neural Network) and Personalized Beamforming to give you the best call experience.
The beamforming technology analyses your wearing pattern to pick your clear voice, while DNN reduces the background noises.
They are also important for buds’ AI functionality. Galaxy Buds FE brings support for Live Translation and Interpretation.
All the processing is handled on-device thus, you don’t need an active internet connection to enjoy these Galaxy AI features.
Unlike other Galaxy earbuds with dual drivers, the Buds FE features a single 6.5mm driver for the audio. Samsung has utilized the leftover space to house bigger batteries.
Each earbud can last up to 8.5 hours (6 hours with ANC) on a single charge. The total playback time with the charging case is 21 hours with ANC on and 30 hours with ANC off.
The design of the Galaxy Buds FE is a throwback to the original Galaxy Buds and Buds+ that succeeded it. Samsung has added ear wings to the earbuds to prevent them from falling off the ear.
There is also a new grip area around the touch-sensitive area, making the controls more convenient.
The earbuds have IPX2 splash resistance to protect them from sweat. They are available in Graphite and White color options.
