Yatri Motorcycles has announced it has signed a Joint Venture with Sipradi for the development, manufacturing, and promotion of electric vehicles in Nepal.

This news comes a week after Yatri announced the upcoming P1 Gen 2 would be the world’s first electric two-wheeler with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto integrations.

Forward thinking and Progressive design are the two key pillars of this collaboration. This partnership enables us to build affordable yet cutting-edge electric vehicles while allowing us to build an excellent network in the region.

Ashim Pandey, Founder and CEO of Yatri Design Studio

Established in 2017, Yatri Motorcycles has launched two electric bikes in Nepal. Project 1 (P1) and Project Zero (P0) were unveiled together in 2019. The upcoming P1 Gen 2 will build on the former and is expected to launch within a year’s time.

Signing of Joint Venture Agreement with Yatri Motorcycles with Sipradi Companies

Sipradi, on the other hand, has been at the forefront of the Nepali automotive industry throughout its 4-decade long operation. It is the sole authorized distributor of Tata’s four-wheelers in Nepal. The joint venture with Yatri will allow Sipradi to expand to the two-wheeler market.

The preparatory groundwork and the detailed study that has gone into this Joint Venture is a testament to our intent of a long standing partnership with Yatri and tackle broader mobility challenges.
